What I'm Dreaming Of...Summer Outfit #2

Yesterday I found a rad blouse at a yard sale for $1.  It caught my eye instantly because I thought it had polka dots on it & we all know I am a huge sucker for polka dots!  When I looked closer however, the blouse had more of an African mud-cloth feel with its dark clay color and white splotsh-like dots.  It's an interesting piece and I am smitten with it!
It got me thinking about the popularity of ethnic-inspired prints, patterns and textiles.  It's a trend that isn't going away anytime soon and I think people love these bold and colorful styles because they can transport us to another place or time.  They are also more challenging to style and therefore, a daring choice among serious fashionistas.
I am one of those ladies who is inspired by some of these prints & I especially love a single piece that is bright and eye-catching.  That's why I fell in love with this fitted blazer from Stella Jean's line (check out the rest of the line-pretty bad ass!).  It's worthy of a summer look because I live by the ocean, so a light blazer makes sense & even better with a pair of breezy linen shorts.  Here's how I would wear this style for summer...

Rebecca Minkoff Blazer, Isabel Marant shorts, Madewell Sandals, Chan Luu friendship bracelets, House of Harlow stack ring, Maverick Western Wear fedora
