I managed to remember that one of my local thrift stores was having a half off sale on Wednesday (I always forget & kick myself later!), so I waddled my way down! I scored some fun loot this time and I set my sights on pieces of clothing that I would love to wear after baby comes-because lets face it, I won't be pregnant forever! So, these pull-up maternity jeans will have to go and hopefully I will be able to wear some of these lovely things in the upcoming months. I am happy that a lot of the shapes are loose and a bit oversized, perfect to pair with comfy leggings post-baby. Here's the loot!
A nice, beat up pair of black cowboy boots-with dirt and all! I have a beloved pair that belonged to my uncle that I wear all the time with floral dresses, so I was thrilled to find an equally worn pair in black...and for $3 bucks!
Some goodies-a great woven bag for $2.50 (I saw a similar one at another thrift shop a week ago for $13!! Thrift stores are sure getting spendy now 'a days). A lovely scarf/throw that's not my usual color choice, but at $2 dollars & made with such soft cashmere & wool, I could not say no. It will keep my shoulders warm & cute around the house. And, a few classic books for the Little Mister (because of course he will be reading soon, right!) at twenty-five cents each-yay!
Shades of gray-two dresses in pretty shades of gray, one peasant style & with sheer layers (left) and one with white polka dots. The polka-dotted shift dress has lots of whimsical details, like that awesome peter pan collar, dainty ruffles and tiny buttons down the back-I am in love! The black & white tunic style tank top will look great layered and has that perfect post-baby shape-flowy. These three pieces totaled $8 bucks! Pretty good.
Last piece of loot-a funky embroidered black blouse. Not sure if it's more gypsy/boho caftan style or old-lady chic? Well, I will do my damnedest to pull it off anyway, because it was only $1.50!!

As I wait for baby, I will probably be stopping into my favorite local thrift shops to pass the time. So, be prepared for more whimsical loot to make an appearance (shhhh, don't tell the Hub!)
